What is a School Site Council (SSC)?

The School Site council is comprised of teachers, parents, and employees who work together with the principal to review and develop school improvement plans and budgets. Individuals who are most affected by the operation of the school should have a major role in the decisions regarding how a school functions. The work of the SSC is important to creating a successful learning experience for all students.
